Wow, 300 days! And I couldn't just pick one photo. These are both shots of a sailboat at the end of a rainbow. I think they look better large. The first image doesn't really show the rainbow but I really liked the way it looked converted to B&W. The second image I framed with the horizon in the middle, which the general rule says not to do, but there was something about it I liked.

I went out today thinking I would try getting some bird shots, but I didn't do too well. Lots of birds around but I didn't get close enough to any to take even one shot. I ended up with some skunk cabbage shots instead.

I got talked into a day of downhill skiing today, the last ski weekend for the year at Mt. Washington on Vancouver Island. It had been a few years since I'd had downhill skis on. I'm a little sore but I had a good time, enjoyed the beautiful weather, and took a bunch a shots.

There was rain today which had stopped by the time I finished work and headed out for a walk. I took shots of flowers, moss, tree branches, and water drops caught in leaves. I haven't finished weeding through them so I chose this image for today. I don't really know my flowers, but I think it is a trillium.

It was a beautiful clear sky most of the day, but as the end of my work day was drawing near I could see clouds moving in. By the time I was done work a light rain was falling. When I finally went out with my camera the sun was breaking through a little and I shot this reflection of old cattails on a pond. It didn't have a lot of colour so I tried a B&W conversion.

It's snowing again!!! I was hoping the snow was done for the year, but the forecast calls for snow over the next few days. I decided to try some action shots with our dog in the snow. She really didn't want to play in it so I had to entice her with dog treats.

I drove by this building on the university campus yesterday on my way to take yesterdays shot. I really liked the tree reflections so decided that I would have to go back today. It is a long building with all these great trees in front but none of the wider shots I took captured what I wanted. So I'd like to go back and try to get a shot with more of the building included and without the dirty snow.

Yesterday, around sunset, I was driving across the bridge that this photo was taken from and thought it might make a nice image. There was nowhere close to park and I knew I wouldn't make it back before the sun was down so I went back this evening. Unfortunately the clouds started blocking the sun as it got close to the horizon so I wasn't able to get the image I wanted. Maybe another day.
