This Canadian flag, outside the Western Counties Wing entrance to Parkwood Hospital in London, Ontario, was flying at half mast in memory of Ted Dawson.

Ted joined the RCAF, Allouette Squadron 425, at age 18 and started training as a pilot. His first flight log entry was on Oct. 18, 1943. He later retrained as a flight engineer.

In June of 1945, after the war was over, he was on a crew flying a Lancaster X KW-E back to Canada.

I bought Snapseed for my iPad to post process photos. I haven't had a chance to completely learn the application but so far really like being able to do adjustments by touch on the screen.

I'm in Toronto for work for the next week and decided to only take my iPad and point and shoot camera. I don't quite have it all worked out since I had to log in from a computer to finish this post, but I'll work at it and see if I can do everything from the iPad.

I shot a few images today to try with HDR in post processing. I liked the way these clouds turned out. I found that a field of grass in a slight breeze doesn't work very well.

I took a few shots today but was not happy with any of them. So I have posted another leaf impression from a sidewalk. This one I got while the late day sun was shining on it giving it quite a different look from the previous image taken while the sun was behind the clouds.

I have decided to work at posting a daily photo again. I think having the goal to post every day will help me to keep at working to improve and pick up my camera every day. During this last month I have missed doing a daily photo and found I could let several days pass without taking any photos. So I'll see where this goes. I know there are some projects I want to make time for but I will still work at a photo a day.
