Day 38 - Comox Glacier

© Peter Mitchell

This is one of my favourite views in our area; a great view of the Comox Glacier. The name was officially adopted in 1939, but it is known by the K'ómoks First Nation as K'one-is (Queneesh). It represents a whale that was stranded up on the mountain in an origin story.

Panorama created from 7 images.

It does look like a whale and it also reminds me a bit of Mt. Mansfield. It's a great photo.

Thanks, and you're right, it is a bit like Mt. Mansfield.
